
Competition Overview
The Client Counselling Competition provides participants an opportunity to experience simulated lawyer-client interaction. It focuses on developing essential lawyering skills beyond courtroom advocacy, evaluating legal knowledge, communication, trust-building, and professional ethics.
Theme
The problem proposition will be based on contemporary legal issues across: Contract Law, Criminal Law, Intellectual Property Rights, Insurance Law, Banking Law, Family Law, Constitutional Law, and CyberTechnology Law. Participants must identify legal issues, apply relevant laws, and counsel the client with clarity and ethical responsibility.
Eligibility Criteria
Open to students enrolled in three-year or five-year law degree courses from any recognized university, law school, or institution.
Team Composition
Each team shall consist of two members. Both will act as counsels during the counselling session. Coordination, communication, and collective ability to address client concerns will be assessed.
