Lex Destiny Law Chamber is a litigation-focused practice based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The chamber primarily handles criminal litigation while also dealing with related civil and writ matters. The internship programme is designed to bridge the gap between academic legal education and practical courtroom experience by providing hands-on exposure, mentorship, and involvement in real cases before various courts and tribunals.
Position Overview
The internship programme offers law students the opportunity to gain practical experience in litigation. Interns will work closely with the chamber on live matters, assisting with legal research, drafting, and courtroom-related work while learning litigation strategy and case management.
Eligibility Criteria
Duration: As per the internship cycle decided by the chamber.
Education:
- Law students pursuing LL.B. (3-year or 5-year programme).
Traits:
- Strong legal research and drafting skills
- Interest in litigation, particularly criminal law
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Professional work ethic and willingness to learn
Commitment:
- Ability to assist with chamber work, research assignments, and court-related tasks.
- Prior chamber internship experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
- Assisting and appearing in matters before the Orissa High Court, Sessions Courts, Lower Courts, and various Tribunals
- Drafting pleadings, applications, and written submissions
- Conducting legal research and procedural analysis
- Preparing case notes, briefs, and document compilations
- Assisting in briefing senior counsel
- Participating in client conferences and routine chamber work
- Supporting litigation strategy and case management
