Position Overview:
The role is for a Complaints Paralegal on a 3-month interim basis (hybrid). It involves independently managing housing complaints from initial investigation to final resolution, while also assisting with litigation support and case preparation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Handle complaint cases with a high degree of autonomy
- Investigate housing complaints from initial review through to resolution
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather facts and evidence
- Draft clear correspondence and concise case summaries
- Advise on next steps, risks, and resolution strategies
- Manage a high-volume caseload within deadlines
- Support senior lawyers with documentation and case preparation
- Maintain accurate records and case management systems
- Ensure complaints are handled consistently and professionally
- Contribute to a customer-focused and responsive legal function
Eligibility:
- Paralegal or equivalent with experience in complaints handling, housing disputes, or civil litigation
- Ability to manage cases independently with minimal supervision
- Strong investigative and drafting skills
- Comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Able to start immediately or on short notice
- Experience in housing, property, or regulated complaints environment (preferred)
