About the Company and Role
Zimmer Biomet has been a pioneer in medical technology for nearly a century, enhancing patient mobility and improving quality of life around the world. Every eight seconds, a patient benefits from our products or innovations. We are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where every team member feels valued, respected, and empowered. This Junior Paralegal position offers the opportunity to work closely with our EMEA legal team, contributing to both administrative and substantive legal work. From maintaining our corporate document database to assisting with drafting agreements, this role is a gateway to building a strong legal career in a dynamic, multinational environment.
What You Can Expect
In this role, you will collaborate with legal counsels across EMEA and occasionally with external stakeholders, engaging in a mix of routine administrative duties and more complex legal responsibilities. You will play a vital part in keeping our contract and corporate documents database (Legisway) accurate and up to date. Beyond documentation, you will contribute to process automation initiatives designed to modernize our legal operations. This position will provide hands-on exposure to legal processes, cross-border projects, and strategic decision-making, allowing you to develop skills that extend well beyond traditional paralegal tasks.
Your Key Responsibilities
Your daily work will involve supporting the digital transformation of the EMEA legal team by managing contract databases, uploading agreements, and ensuring proper record-keeping. You will assist with administrative logistics such as arranging couriers, coordinating signatures, working with notaries, and maintaining physical legal files. Under the guidance of legal counsels, you will help draft basic legal documents including contracts, amendments, and legal correspondence. You will also support litigation settlement processes, maintain project tracking spreadsheets, schedule meetings, and prepare presentation materials. This varied scope of work will give you valuable insight into legal operations across multiple jurisdictions.
Skills and Qualities That Make You Stand Out
The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and skilled in prioritization. Fluency in both English and German is essential, while knowledge of Spanish, Italian, or French is a plus. Attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and a proactive mindset are key traits for success. You should be comfortable collaborating with different teams, adaptable in handling both routine and complex tasks, and committed to delivering work of the highest quality. A willingness to learn, coupled with curiosity and initiative, will help you thrive and grow in this position.
Your Background
To be successful in this role, you should be fluent in English and German, with prior experience in administrative or CRM-related roles. You must be confident in handling documentation, managing databases, and maintaining organizational systems. Previous exposure to a legal environment is an advantage, but not mandatory. What matters most is your ability to adapt quickly, work collaboratively, and contribute to the efficiency of our legal operations. Your skills in managing confidential information and your comfort with technology will position you as a valuable member of the team.
