About the Opportunity
We are inviting applications for the role of Legal Compliance Associate (Contract Position) to join our legal team based in Gurgaon. This role will report directly to the Senior Counsel – Legal and offers a dynamic environment to contribute to the company’s compliance and litigation functions. Roles and Responsibilities
The Legal Compliance Associate will play an important role in supporting Corteva’s litigation and compliance functions. Responsibilities include coordinating litigation activities such as liaising with external counsel and lawyers, compiling case documentation, preparing for court proceedings, and collaborating with internal stakeholders. The role involves assisting with drafting legal responses, agreements, and engagement letters, as well as preparing periodic reports on litigation and compliance matters. The Associate will also manage litigation management tools, ensuring timely case updates, proper coordination with external counsel, and effective communication of instructions. Additionally, maintaining MIS records, supporting legal documentation, and providing assistance in broader legal functions are key aspects of the role. This position requires efficiency, accuracy, and a proactive approach to meeting deadlines and reporting updates.
Eligibility Criteria
Corteva is seeking candidates with 3–5 years of prior work experience in legal practice, particularly in litigation and compliance-related functions. An LL.B. degree from a recognized university is mandatory. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of legal principles, court procedures, and litigation processes, with prior law firm experience being highly desirable. Familiarity with litigation and billing tools, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, is essential. Candidates with working experience in litigation management systems will be given preference. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively are crucial.
