About the Opportunity

American Express is seeking a Legal Operations Specialist to join its Global Litigation and Investigations Team, part of the General Counsel’s office. The role involves supporting the processing of third-party legal orders.

Key Responsibilities

Open and assign legal matters in the case management system.
Review legal requests to confirm validity.
Draft and send correspondence to the request issuer.

Analyze legal documents to define their scope.

Use internal systems to locate accounts and retrieve relevant documents.

Compile documents and prepare response packages in line with country-specific privacy regulations and company protocols.

Carry out additional related duties as assigned.

Eligibility Criteria

Graduates from any discipline with 0–1 year of experience.
Preferred: Law graduates or candidates with experience in legal assistance, especially in law firms or corporate legal departments.
Prior experience handling subpoenas or legal orders is highly desirable.
Strong command of written and spoken English.
Ability to handle sensitive matters with urgency and meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
Capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities.
Comfortable navigating various databases and information systems.
Organized and able to manage time effectively in a dynamic work environment.
Must maintain confidentiality of all sensitive data.
