Sangam University, established in 2012 by the Badrilal Soni Charitable Trust, is a reputed institution aimed at delivering quality higher education. Its School of Legal Studies (SOLS), approved by the Bar Council of India, focuses on developing legal acumen through mooting, research, and advocacy training.

About the Competition

The 3rd Vidhi Vimarsh National Moot Court Competition, 2026 is a national-level moot focusing on contemporary criminal law issues under newly enacted statutes.

The moot proposition titled “State v. Dr. Aryan Malhotra” revolves around:

  • Criminal liability in medical negligence
  • Intervening factors like natural disasters
  • Automated medical technology
  • Doctrines such as causation, transferred malice, and admissibility of electronic evidence

Objective:

  • To enhance advocacy, research, and drafting skills

Participants must:

  • Form a team of 2 or 3 members
    • 2 members (both speakers / 1 speaker + 1 researcher), OR
    • 3 members (2 speakers + 1 researcher)
  • Be bona fide students of their institution

Eligibility

  • Students enrolled in:
    • 5-year integrated law courses (BA LL.B., BBA LL.B., etc.)
    • 3-year LL.B. programmes
