About the Event
The CUH First National Moot Court Competition, 2026 is a criminal law–centric moot court competition designed to simulate high-intensity appellate advocacy. The event focuses on precision in legal reasoning, strategic argumentation, and effective courtroom advocacy through memorial drafting and in-person oral rounds.
The competition will consist of four stages: Preliminary Rounds, Quarter Finals, Semi-Finals, and Finals.
Date and Venue
- Dates: 28th & 29th March, 2026
- Venue: School of Law, Central University of Haryana, Mahendragarh, Haryana
- Mode: Offline
Team Composition
- Each institution may nominate only one team
- Each team shall consist of three members:
- Two Speakers
- One Researcher
- Teams comprising students from different institutions are not permitted
- Eligible participants:
- Students enrolled in a 3-year LL.B. programme, or
- Students enrolled in a 5-year integrated LL.B. programme
Awards
- Winners (Best Team): ₹30,000 + SCC Online Subscription (1 Year) + Winner’s Trophy + Certificate of Merit
- Runner-Up: ₹20,000 + SCC Online Subscription (1 Year) + Runner-Up Trophy + Certificate of Merit
- Second Runner-Up: ₹10,000 + Trophy + Certificate of Merit
- Best Speaker: ₹5,000 + Trophy + Certificate of Merit
- Best Researcher: ₹5,000 + Trophy + Certificate of Merit
- Best Memorial: ₹5,000 + Trophy + Certificate of Merit
- All participants shall receive a Certificate of Participation and a one-month SCC Online subscription
