About the Organization

International Data Corporation (IDC) is a globally recognized leader in market intelligence, advisory services, and events for the information technology, telecommunications, and consumer technology markets. Alongside its expertise in research and data, IDC also emphasizes strong governance and compliance through its dedicated Legal Team. The department plays a vital role in ensuring corporate legal structures are well-managed and regulatory requirements are fully met. By offering this internship, IDC provides law students with the chance to experience real-world corporate legal operations, including resolution drafting, project management, and due diligence work, while contributing meaningfully to the organization’s day-to-day legal framework.

Eligibility

This opportunity is open to current law students enrolled in an accredited law school, preferably those with a demonstrated interest in corporate legal matters. Candidates should possess strong academic performance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle tasks with precision and accuracy. Since the role requires on-site participation, applicants must be available to work in the Needham, MA office at least once a week, committing around 15 hours per week. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong organizational abilities, and a keen interest in corporate law will help applicants stand out. Teamwork skills, alongside the capacity to work independently, are also essential.

Role

The Legal Intern will support IDC’s Legal Team across a variety of responsibilities central to corporate governance and compliance. Key duties include assisting in the drafting of corporate resolutions, supporting project management initiatives, and conducting due diligence research. Interns will also participate in document reviews, record maintenance, and preparation of materials for board and shareholder meetings. The position offers exposure to both administrative and substantive legal tasks, providing a comprehensive understanding of corporate legal processes. By engaging in real-world assignments, interns gain valuable insights into corporate law practice, preparing them for future professional roles while making a tangible contribution to IDC’s operations.

How to Apply

Interested candidates can apply directly through IDC’s official recruitment channels, including its corporate email, Applicant Tracking System (iCIMS), LinkedIn, or by phone. Applicants are advised to remain cautious of fraudulent job postings or suspicious communication through unofficial platforms such as Telegram, WhatsApp, or Signal, as IDC does not use these methods for recruitment. The application process requires candidates to highlight their academic achievements, relevant skills, and genuine interest in corporate law. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, IDC ensures that all applicants are evaluated fairly without discrimination. Law students seeking practical corporate legal experience in a supportive and professional environment are encouraged to apply.
