Job Overview
The role requires expertise in property laws and local regulations, with in-depth knowledge of the Land Revenue Act, inheritance laws, land transfers, Power of Attorney (PoA), agricultural land conversion, Stamp and Registration Act, and Forest Conservation Acts. Strong experience in reviewing and preparing Title Search Reports (TSR) and the ability to read documents in both Hindi and English is essential.
Key Responsibilities

Take ownership of decisions related to the execution of Sale/Lease Deeds, ATS/ATL, PoA, etc., ensuring compliance with all state property and land laws for solar and wind projects.

Stay updated on evolving land and property laws, keeping management informed regularly.

Handle legal matters involving agricultural land conversion, mutation, exchange, amalgamation, stamp duty, and registration processes.

Draft and review legal documents including MoUs, LoIs, sale and lease agreements, sub-lease deeds, land facilitation agreements, PoAs, and crop compensation agreements.

Guide and support the land team in obtaining required authorizations from government and regulatory bodies for land acquisition or transfer.

Manage proper documentation of land purchase/lease agreements, TSRs, and complete chain documents.

Liaise with state revenue authorities (sub-registrar, gram panchayat, patwari, etc.) for title verification certificates.

Collaborate with government authorities, land aggregators, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution, including regular updates and MIS on legal aspects.

Lead and mentor the land team on legal disputes or cases related to land titles.
Qualifications

Education: LLB or LLM with strong expertise in property and local land laws, including the Land Revenue Act, Stamp & Registration Act, and Forest Conservation Act.

Experience: 10–15 years of relevant experience in land acquisition and property-related legal matters.
